json - Does the jquery autosuggest plugin allow you to enter your own values (not from the dropdown)? -


i like plugin seems flaw in missing feature able create own tags on fly (its restrict choosing dropdown list).

is there other plugin supports additional feature or autosuggest plugin have anyway of supporting entering own tags. rather not have 2 textboxes (1 checking existing items , 1 entering new ones).

it (the demo sample) let me enter tag wasn't part of demo set of tags.

i've never used plug-in, may missing underlying implementation.

i know jquery ui autocomplete widget supports this. here's document link, , there's example on having multiple tags ("multiple values sample") aren't part of custom data set. sample learned build page.

the downside jquery ui widget lot of fancy styling you.
