Migrating sharepoint workflows from dev to test to production -


we new sharepoint , creating sharepoint 2010 environment. first project site 23 different workflows. have created site workflows in our development environment using sharepoint designer. migrate workflows our test environment, exported 23 workflows using sharepoint designer 23 .wsp files. imported these solution gallery in our test environment , activated them on test site.

while worked, cumbersome , took lot of time. there better way? have tried searching online, , far have failed find anything. how handle migration dev test production? recreate in each environment? there 3rd party offers solution or tooling?

i don't know 3rd party tool, prefer working in visual studio sharepoint designer + ui. if rename *.wsp files *.cab files, can grab deployable contents of *.wsp , put them single solution generate single *.wsp file.

also, using visual studio allow other neat things automatically associate workflows specific named lists via feature receiver.
