Move Plugins between different Eclipse versions -


i need install several plugins eclipse running on remote 64bit linux machine.

i tried copying neccesary plugins plugins , feature folder on remote machine did not seem work.

the approach wanted try out setting new eclipse installation plugins , replacing whole eclipse folder.

but doing realized have use 32 bit linux , eclipse. possible install 32bit eclipse , move plugins , features remote machine? need consider other things? can recommend other approach me?

update: problem cannot start eclipse on remote machine. can access via ssh not run eclipse , install plugins via wizards. have no 64bit linux prepare complete eclipse can copy. meant have prepare either eclipse installation or maybe plugin folder , move 32bit architecture 64bit one.

i can download current eclipse folder cannot run it. when try start ubuntu nothing happens. believe because 64bit version , got 32 bit architecture.

don't this. not there number of plugins native-compiled fragments (different 32-bit vs 64-bit), in recent versions, eclipse not register features , plugins dropped in. should install plugins explicitly unless moving entire installation between machines compatible architectures.
