about month ago, stumbled across blog post featuring information project within microsoft research relating following:

creating custom reports online , being able export them excel , powerpoint. reports contain necessary information stream live data services connected to.

i'm not sure if writer said it's powerpivot team, along lines of future of custom reporting real-time data.
